If one app is using an unusually high amount of battery life, especially in the background, there may be a problem with it.

The simplest way to eliminate problems caused by toxic apps or widgets is to delete them and find an alternative.

Checking for an iOS update can also fix software problems. For lingering software issues, trying resetting all settings.
